I’m Gulliver, the friendly open access turtle. I work as BioMed Central’s mascot. It’s an unpaid position, but somebody’s gotta do it. I get to travel the world attending various conferences and tell everyone about open access. I must be the world’s most-travelled turtle. I really should speak to the guys at the Guinness Book of Records about this…
As you can see, I’m a sea turtle but I’ve now moved on to land. I’d appreciate it if you didn’t confuse me with a frog, I’m most definitely a turtle – my shell is real (I can prove it if you like!)
Some interesting facts about me: I hate pumpkin, I have ninja night vision and I like fancy dress & science jokes.
I’m also on Facebook so in case you can’t get enough of me, you can follow my travels there: http://www.facebook.com/gulliver.turtle
I’ve also mastered the art of cloning – there are now thousands of Gullivers ready to spread the open access message whilst visiting labs and travelling to every corner of the earth. Stay tuned for your chance to win one of my clones.
I must have one of your clones.
Certainly, email (gulliver@biomedcentral.com) me your address and I shall deploy a clone very soon
Can anybody get a gulliver turtle? What do you have to do for it?
